Cookie policy
Larkmile itself sets no cookies. A few services that run the site, and the booking sites you choose to visit, can. Here is the full list.

Cookies we set
None. Browsing larkmile.com doesn't place a Larkmile cookie in your browser, and we don't use cookies for advertising or to follow you across other sites. The only thing we keep in your browser is your answer to the cookie banner, described below.
Your choice and how to change it
When you first visit, a bar at the bottom of the page asks whether we may load the Travelpayouts script. Accept and Reject carry the same weight. Until you choose, the script doesn't load.
- What we store: one entry in your browser's local storage named
lk-consent, holding your choice (accepted or rejected), a version number and the time you chose. It isn't a cookie, isn't sent to us and stays until you clear your browser's site data. - If you accept: the Travelpayouts script loads straight away on the page you're on, without a reload, and on every page you open after that, except the contact page.
- If you reject: the script isn't loaded on any page.
- Changing your mind: use Cookie settings in the site footer, or the button below. If you switch to Reject on a page where the script is already running, the page reloads so it stops at once. Cookies that Travelpayouts or a booking site set earlier sit on their domains, so we can't remove them. You can delete them in your browser (guides below).
- When we ask again: if we change what the banner covers, we change its version number and the banner returns. If your browser blocks local storage, we can't remember your answer: the banner shows on each page and the script stays off.
Technologies on our pages
| Service | Where | What it does | Cookies |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Web Analytics | Every page | Counts page views and load times as totals | None. It works without cookies or local storage. |
| Cloudflare security | Every page | Protects the site from attacks and abusive traffic | Only if Cloudflare challenges a suspicious request: __cf_bm or cf_clearance, strictly necessary, expiring within minutes to hours. |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Contact page | Checks that a person is sending the form | None by default. It issues a one-time token used only for that submission. |
| Travelpayouts | Every page except Contact, only after you accept | Turns eligible links to travel brands into tracked affiliate links and reports clicks per page | In our tests its script set no cookies on larkmile.com when a page loaded. Referral cookies are set after you click an affiliate link (see below). |
After you click a “Check price” link
Our price and booking buttons lead to rental companies and booking partners. When you arrive, the affiliate network and the booking site can set a cookie that records the referral, typically for about 30 days, so that Larkmile is credited if you book. These cookies sit on their domains, not ours, and follow their policies. They don't change the price you pay. More on how we earn: affiliate disclosure.
How to control cookies
Every modern browser lets you see, block and delete cookies, including blocking third-party cookies only. Blocking them doesn't stop Larkmile from working. It may mean a booking can't be credited to us, which costs you nothing. Guides: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.
Changes
If we add a service that uses cookies, we list it here before it goes live and update the date above. Full details of the data involved are in our privacy policy.
